I am a happily married, homeschooling WAHM of 4 beautiful children and co-owner of Modesty Matters, LLC (and www.modestymatters.net) where we make sewing simple using exclusive patterns with step-by-step videos for each pattern! We live in Central Florida while the other co-owners of the business, the Carmichael Family (Dan, Dee, and their 8 children), live in Indiana.

This platform is for Modesty Matters, and Jennifer Whelan (me, myself, and I) to blog about modesty (but I don’t try to define it for you), sewing, patterns that we’ve made or like, random loved recipes, occasional musings, product reviews (usually curriculum), homeschooling and our business, Modesty Matters.  Our business is unique because we teach you how to make each project we sew using a step-by-step video on DVD.  We literally sew right along with you.  The exclusive pattern(s) and instructions come on a printable (& re-printable) PC and MAC friendly CD.  You CAN Sew!

Together, both families hope to make our business large enough to independently sustain our families.  We’d like it to be something we can pass on to our children.   We are open to ideas that could help us burst through the roof of small business expectations, as we’d like to see this all happen in our lifetime.  We pray often, but perhaps you could pray for us too! 🙂
